ZOMBIE SUMMER!!!

Philosophy: General Metaphysics, or Ontology, or Science of Being in General, of Possibility, of Existence, of Duration, etc,

OR,

The Problem of Miracles

By James Tadd Adcox

The Scottish philosopher David Hume won’t shut up about his miraculous return from the dead. He paces back and forth in the kitchen, going on and on about how it defies the common experience of all mankind, and so forth. Every time one of us goes to get a beer, he throws his hands up in the air and starts yelling about it again. “We know, David Hume, we know,” we say. “Give it a rest. Sheesh.”

Heh.

Or, shall we say Hume's presumption of "the uniformity of experience" may hold, until that uniformity's been dis-formed. "There are no chupacabras" you assume, until you stumble upon one in your garage. Not real dee-eep, but about as good as philosophastry gets
